Dear Cisco community ,

I never worked on setting up 8800 expansion module congratulation.Due to some unknown reason module not getting powered on.

  1. Switch is giving enough PoE.
  2. On the phone settings side USB is enabled.

Apart from this any other factor which will be under consideration .Your support is really appreciated.

Antony Davis

Thank You

Did you configure expansion module under the phone

Yes.I followed it

Yes.There is a predefined template in the expansion module , I selected that .if it is not correct will it eeffect the PoE of the module.

It should not affect the POE but what if the POE is correct and you haven't enabled the module itself ? It would appear as if POE is not working.
If you have ensured that the module is enabled/configured correctly on the phone page, what is the phone registration status ? Registered or Partial Registration ? Can you do a "show power inline" on the switch and check the total power drawn on this port. I hope these are Cisco POE switches.

Nipun,
Thanks for your valid inputs .I am going to create 18 button template and will test.As like what you mentioned I strongly believe the module template not properly set it up.
Will revert you shortly.

Yes , the model selected in the configuration should match the one
connected to work.
