9951 in sleep mode

Hi,

We have a 9951 phone, and when in idle mode the screen finally turns black (this is what we want)

When in this mode and a call is send to the 9951 phone, the phone starts ringing, but the screen stays black.

This is extremely annoying, because you can't see who is calling untill you pick up the phone!

Same behavior I have seen on 8945 phone's

Can we change something to lit up when a call is ringing on a phone in 'screen off mode'?

It very weird to see a phone ring with a dark screen

Thanks,

JH

Hi Jan,

In CME these settings are available via the service phone commands

service phone

To modify the vendorConfig parameters in the configuration file, use the service phone command in telephony-service or ephone-template configuration mode. To disable a setting, use the no form of this command.

service phone parameter-name parameter-value

no service phone parameter-name parameter-value

Here we go

displayOnWhenIncomingCall {0 | 1}

#

Enables and disables an IP phone display to be activated when an  incoming call is received (Line state is Ring in). The display will  switch off again once the ringing stops if the user has not touched the  phone and if the phone display is supposed to be off.

#

0—Disabled (default).

#

1—Enabled.

#

Note This parameter is not supported in ephone-template configuration mode.

Set "Display On When Incoming Call" to Enabled on the device.

HTH,

Chris

Hi,

By default this is enabled, although I am sure on CM 9.1.1, the screen stays dark when phone is called.

Only on the side are some flashing lights.

I shall check the firmware.

Thanks,

Jan

Hi,

Can u share the snapshot where do u find this option or the path ?

regds,

aman

Hi,

On the device configuration from the phone in callmanager.

Search for "Display On When Incoming Call"

It is somewhere down the page:

Bye,

Jan

OK it works.

How can we modify/chnage these parameters in CME?

There are a lot of time outs and Idle timers for screen safe mode.

Thanks,

Jan
