I have just connected a 2nd wic card in our 2821 for an additional 5 isdn 30 channels. I have gone through the config in the router and I am trying to work out the commands required to use the additional lines.

Hi,

In addition to what is said by  AOK[+5], you need to configure

a. card type e1 0 0 [check the slot]

b. framing under controller E1 0/0/0[check in your case]

c. pri-group timeslots  1-31

d. no shutdown

And probably network-clock-participate  & network-clock-select commands too.

The exact details will vary depending on the gateway protocol you're using (MGCP, H323, SIP, etc)

That depends on what type of vwic card it is. If its a mft-e1-t1 card, you will need to first of all specify the card type before you can even begin to configure it
