I'm replacing old phones with new 8945s. I've created an 8945 phone template and an 8945 line template is assigned to it as well. Are the only items needed in the .txt file the MAC, description, and line number?
Such as:
MAC ADDRESS,DESCRIPTION,DIRECTORY NUMBER 1
203A0783651D,John Doe,154516
I have the pool, CSS, button template, softkey template, etc, defined in the phone template.

Yes, route partition is and hence does not need to be referenced, unless you want to make it unique (don't see a reason).

You should also add alerting name, display name, possibly external phone number mask if different for some phones. Basically anything that is going to be unique to the device/DN and cannot be templated.

Don't forget about the Partition column.

Thanks for the responses.
Aren't all those items part of either the line template that's associated with the phone template (route partition) or already spelled out in the existing user's DN (alerting name, display name)?.
Thanks.
