CUCM 8.5.1
VG224 Gateway (this is for an analog phone).
We have a phone located in a lobby. It is restricted to 'local only' calling but I'd like to make it automatically dial our 'access' number (9) as soon as the handset is picked up.
I think the Automatic Ring Down *may* work, but it sounds like it won't allow further dialling after that?
We used to have a telephone that did it- but the phone is quite old and caused some other issues.
thanks for any help.
Mark

There is no way just prefix a number and then be prompted for additional digits, you would need to cerate a separate dial plan for that phone to prefix the digit when other digits are dialed, but you would need to be careful not to create overlaps if internal dialing from the phone is allowed as well.

Mark,
You could... Create PT-Lobby, CSS-Lobby {with JUST this one partition}
Create a RP for local, or LD, or whatever you need to, and place it in this specific partition. (Lobby)
That way you can create the Route Patter without the need to use 9, and this way you MAKE 100% ONLY this phone could EVER use this Route patter, and will be the ONLY phone in the system than can dial, outside without the 9

Thanks for the ideas!
I like the cleanliness of your Jose, I'll start doing some looking at it and see if I have permissions to make everything.
I will post back and rate etc.

One question, what is PT short for?
I was thinking 'partition' but maybe it is something else?
thanks
