We just discovered the Cisco Phone Designer application. It's a great way to change the background image on an IP phone. Once an image is downloaded to the phone is there any way to eliminate the horizontal lines that go across the phone's display? (So the image or company logo can be clearly seen. (UCM Version 5.0)

The latest Version may resolve these lines but it also introduces many new faults !

and make sure you really want to take that risk.
We are logging a P1 with Cisco today and might roll back all 3000+ Phones.

Yes, the latest firmware files 8.4.1 finally resolves this issue.

I would not recommend to do this as it introduces around 4 bugs so far. Please read my post about it (link that I added)
