Hi all

I was wondering if we can do the following on 2 BE6000's

1 BE6000 will host a PUB and SUB, the other one a second SUB and UnityConnection.

The FAQ, states max 2 nodes but further down it says the cluster can hold more then 3.....

Thanks in advance

Koen

This is perfectly fine and supported to have multiple BE6K servers.

Hi Koen,

BE 6000 consists of the following foundational elements:

  • Cisco Unified Communications Manager
  • IM & Presence
  • Cisco Unity® Connection
  • Cisco Prime Provisioning
  • Cisco UC Virtualization Hypervisor
  • Cisco Unified Computing System C200 M2/C220 M3 Rack-mount server.

Following applications can be optionally added to Cisco Business Edition 6000 solution.

  • Cisco Unified Contact Center Express
  • Cisco Unified Attendant Consoles
  • Cisco Emergency Responder
  • Cisco Telepresence Video Communication Server (Supported only with UCS C220 M3)
  • Cisco Paging Server

Cisco Business Edition 6000 supports up to 4 UC applications plus 1 Cisco Prime Provisioning (from the list of applications above) running co-resident on single UCS C200 or UCS C220 hardware platform and supports full featured redundancy for all the core applications over a WAN or LAN environment.

regds,

Thanks for that but that does not answer my question

2 nodes, can be PUB and SUB, or 2 BE6000's

our distributor says only PUB/SUB and not PUB/SUB/SUB, even staying below 1000 users

Hi,

one one UCS chassis , you can install PB/SUB1 while on other UCS chassis, u can install SUB2/UCXN.

regds,

aman

I know going to UCS or even UCS mini, but the BE6000 have been acquired already....

so we need to use those

This is perfectly fine and supported to have multiple BE6K servers.

Thanks Chris
