Hi there,
I have got few 8945 handsets not able to complete a call over the pstn(pri). On debugging, I found that I need the command
"bearer-cap speech" on the voice port. I wanted to understand the implications on the applying this command on the interface on production network?
when applying this command
1. Will the active voice call disconnect?
2. Do I need to do an shut and no shut on the voice port for the command to become active?

Hi Kingslin,
I have applied this command on many router due to DX650 phones.
No reset required, just put the command under voice-port and rest all will be normal.
two option available bearer-cap speech or 3100
I did 3100 and all fine.
Regards,
Raaj.

Hi David.
When you issue that command on voice port, no call is impacted and you don't need to shut the port to make it active.
