Privacy concerns regarding the forwarding of calls have raised .The concern is when users forward their desk phones to their home or cell phones that internal callers are able to see the number that they have forwarded to. Is it possible to mask the number that the phone is forwarded to? Perhaps make it say ‘Call Forwarded’ or have it remove part of the number?

A translation pattern also updates on the display of the calling phone. The feature that would work is Mobile Connect. It will not display the off-net Remote Destination number to the caller.

There is a long thread on the matter, you have to search, I don't have the link ready.

if you are using CUCM, i would suggest you create a translation pattern.
for example 1152 to users home number.
so instead of a user placing call forward all to home number, he or she puts call forward all to 1152 which then translates to home number.
this would be good.
if you are using CUCME, you can create a translation rule in place that when dialed forwards to users home number
e.g voice translation-rule 1
rule 1 /1152/ /users phone/
do not forget to rate if this helps !

you are right Jonathan.
using mobile connect, then allowing the ring schedule to call only the remote device specified.whether the cell phone or home number.
i guess that's the best solution.

There is also a service parameter called Always Display Original Dialed Number, which is false by default:
In Cisco CallManager 4.2(3) and later, the connected number display can be turned off . This option addresses customer privacy issues as well as connected number displays that are meaningless to phone users.
As an Administrator, complete these steps in order to turn off phone display updates, so the phone displays only the dialed digits:
Choose Service > Service Parameters in the Cisco Unified CallManager Administration page.
Choose the server where the Cisco CallManager service runs, and then choose the Cisco CallManager service.
In Clusterwide Parameters (Device - General) change the parameter value of Always Display Original Dialed Number to true. The default setting is false.
