Call Forward No Coverage

Hi Guys,

What I want to configure is this:

  • Call to DN1234 rings out and the CNFA settings are set to ring DN5678. If DN5678 doesn’t answer either, I want it to go to the voicemail of the originally dialled number, in this case DN1234. I thought Call Forward No Coverage did this but it seems this only works when Use Personal Preference is configured in huntgroup setup.

Is there a way to do what I want to do??

As always,

Thanks…

Hi Neil,

No worries

Yes, a CFNA to a Hunt Group Pilot # and the CFNA on it (Hunt Pilot#) set to voicemail

should accomplish exactly what you want.

Cheers!

Rob

PS: I'm sure I don't need to say this ....but it's never a good plan

to have numbers forward to each other. This can create some crazy

stuff like forwarding loops.

Hi Neil,

If you set the CFNA on 5678 to go to voicemail, the default

behaviour would deliver the VM to the 1234 mailbox on most systems

due the setting "originally dialed number" (this can be changed in CUE and CUC)

Give it a try and let us know.

Cheers!

Hey Rob, thanks for the prompt reply.

I just realised left out a crucial but of info!!  Both phones are set to CFNA to each other.  So in my example above, DN5678 as the same settings with CFNA set to DN1234.

Is a huntgroup the only option??

Thanks,

Neil

Thanks Rob,

I had "assumed" that the "CF No Coverage" was doing what I wanted, I didn't realise it wasn't working until the user came back to me.  My own fault for not testing it first!!

THanks again for the quick response

Neil
