Hi Everyone,
This is my first time to post and seek assistance from you guys. I am also a newbie when it comes to call manager administration. Here is what i have
Call Manager 6
MGCP
Cisco 2821
A Number = Calling Party
B Number = Redirected
Scenario:
Caller (A number) from outside the organization will directly call to office number (B number) but if no answer it will forwarded to mobile number.
Our objective is to see the number A number or original calling party not the office number (B number) to the mobile number.
Problem:
B number is the identifier of the phone provider to allow the call wherein it should be within the DN block registered for that organization. What is happening now is that everytime there is a call forwarding to mobile or any landline outside office number the A Number is only sent to the telco. Is there any way that we could send both A and B Numbers to the phone provider at the sametime so that it will complete the call to the mobile and will appear the A number on it?
Note: If A and B number are within the DN block of the phone provider, Call Forwarding is successful.
Eg.
25765801 (A Number)
97859504 (B Number)
DN Block : 978595XX
Mobile Number for CFwd - 967835672
Case 1
25765801 (A Number) >>>> 97859504 (B Number) >>> No Answer , Call forwarded to Mobile ====> Telco will not complete the call because the A Number is not within
the DN Block. Inorder to solve this issue the B number should be carried in sending information to the Telco. So the complete number to be sent is the combination of the two 2576580197859504. This set up the Telco will allow the call to be forwarded to the mobile displaying the A Number 25765801
Case 2
97859588 (A Number) >>>> 97859504 (B Number) >>> No Answer , Call forwarded to Mobile ====> Telco will COMPLETE the call because the A Number is within
the DN Block
Thanks in advance. :-)
Regards,
Aaron

In my experience, analog lines, ISDN BRI or ISDN PRI cannot send the original calling number. With this type of lines, the provider blocks the call or uses override techniques of the calling number.
The phone connection that enable you to present every calling number is ISUP.
ISDN scenario:
A ------------> B -----------> C
|___CLI____| |___CLI___|
ISUP scenario:
A ------------> B -----------> C
|_________CLI_________|
You can implement the first scenario using techniques of clid override of the redirect number .
Example of SIP or H.323 gateway configuration:
dial-peer voice 1 pots
destination-pattern .T
clid override rdnis
direct-inward-dial
port 7/6:D
Example of a call manager 4.1 configuration:
Best regards.

Caller (A number) from outside the organization will directly call to office number (B number) but if no answer it will forwarded to mobile number.
Our objective is to see the number A number or original calling party not the office number (B number) to the mobile number.
This is frequently asked and if you had searched before, you would have saved writing a long post.
As Giordano correctly replied, you cannot send an arbitrary calling number and expect it would display.
Otherwise you would be able to spoof caller ID, not acceptable by telco,

Hi,
I am using MGCP gateway. I have here the call debug for incomplete call. The calling party number should appear on the called party via the redirecting number in a call forwarding scenario. My question is how to strip the digit from 4527845762 to 7845762 in redirecting number

Maybe you should use H.323 for better control over all aspect of call setup.

Hi Guys,
I apologize that it is just now that I have time to update this thread. Two months ago I found how to send the Redirected Number towards Telco Side. Follow this simple instruction below.
Device >>> Gateway >>> search for the appropriate GW >>> Gateway Configuration >>> PRI Protocol Type Specific Information, Tick Redirected Number IE Delivery - Outbound
A snapshot is also provided at the bottom.
Once I send the redirected number or B number, it was up to the Telco side to adjust for other digit manipulation on their receive side. I hope this is informative to you
Regards,
Aaron
