Call Handler - Change voicemail message

I am needing to change the message heard when an call comes to one of my schools. It is using a call handler. Ultimate goal is to change the pin for this handler or vm box or ... 

The extension is 3970. If I press my vm button on my phone and enter *3970, I begin hearing the message I want to edit. However, I cannot find that user in Unity. Where do I go to change the pin for the call handler at x3970?

Call Handlers are not located within the user list. In the admin portal, look for Call management > System Call Handlers to find the associated handler. You can modify the greeting from there.

Note, Call Handlers do not have PINs, but Owners which allow you to access and edit via the greetings administrator.

Thank you for the reply. I'm running into one thing after another.

Tried to launch the Java applet to play/record the message and wouldn't run
in Chrome.

Found a comment about using it in IE, which looked promising, but part way
into launching the applet, I received a certificate error. The cert expired
1/7/2020. $%^&*

Am now working to update the cert.

Just an FYI, in updated versions of Unity, the play/record module is changed to work in almost all browsers.

Is there another way to record the message other than via the Java applet in the UI?

You can check in call handlers as well as users and search by extension 3970.

It's possible it is listed as an alternate extension on a user, so when you do the search, hit the "limit search to" dropdown box and change it to partition, and then select your partition, then select the dial that says "Display Primary and Alternate Extensions in Selected Partition"
