Hi,

My scenario is very simple as below but has some confusion.

- i am ordering for a standalone CME only for 50 users, i have selected 2911 router

- Should i select CISCO2911-V/K9 or C2911-CME-SRST/K9 and what is the reason?

- From the IOS feature license i should select FL-CME or FL-SRST and what is the reason?

- i am going to order 7821, and 7861, which phone license SW-CCME-UL-XX should i order, BASIC or ENHANCE?

- I require setup that can support basic telephony only. Requires best suggestion.

Regards,

Answers to some of your other questions.

- Should i select CISCO2911-V/K9 or C2911-CME-SRST/K9 and what is the reason?

The C2911-CME-SRST/K9 bundle includes FL-CME-SRST-25 which provides a license for 25 seats which the CISCO2911-V/K9 bundle does not. To be honest the ordering of phone licenses is not very clear in the guide.

- From the IOS feature license i should select FL-CME or FL-SRST and what is the reason?

You need the CME license - the SRST license if for Survivable Remote Site Telephony which is used with CUCM rather than CME. The CME license allows you to order the phone licenses in the CCW tool (partners only)

- Should i select CISCO2911-V/K9 or C2911-CME-SRST/K9 and what is the reason?

CISCO2911-V/K9 - $3895

C2911-CME-SRST/K9 - $4095

- i am going to order 7821, and 7861, which phone license SW-CCME-UL-XX should i order, BASIC or ENHANCE?

Essential, Basic, and Enhanced are categories to help you determine which Cisco Unified CME phone user licenses to buy. For Cisco Unified CME, the following phones are supported in each category:

●   Essential: Analog devices using analog gateways such as the Cisco VG202, VG204, VG224, or VG350 Analog Voice Gateways; the Cisco 3905 ISR; and the Cisco Unified IP Phone 6901

●   Basic: Cisco Unified IP Phone 6911, 6921, 7811, and 7821

●   Enhanced: Cisco Unified IP Phone 9900, 8900, 8800, 7841, 7861, 7900, 7937, and 6900; third‑party SIP phones; Cisco Jabber® Mobile; and the Cisco Jabber soft phone

So 7821 phones need Basic licenses and 7861 need Enhanced

- I require setup that can support basic telephony only. Requires best suggestion.

What type of PSTN connection are you going to use and how many concurrent calls will be required?

Also do you need support for analog devices? - if yes how many?

In your position I would order the ISR4331-V/K9 rather than the older 2911

Hope this helps

Hi Moshin,

Do you work for a Cisco partner? - if yes then you should be able to access the ordering guide at the link below which should answer your questions.

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/unified-communications/unified-communications-manager-express/guide-c07-737621.html?cachemode=refresh

The 2900 series of routers have an End of Life notice published

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/routers/2900-series-integrated-services-routers-isr/eos-eol-notice-c51-737831.html

You can still buy the 2900 until December 2017 and they will be supported until 2022 but you should consider ordering the Cisco ISR 4331 UC Bundle instead.

Thank you so much, it is very clear now.

Best Regards,

read through the article u shared. I still have some doubt.

Recently, the basic, enchance phone license is become old order.

Can I assume that it is replace by CME-UL - Cisco Communication Manager Express (CME) - User License?

I have 10pcs cisco phone and other vendor phone that need to use with the CME.

the ISR have FL-CUBEE-5 x 2

thank you.
