Hi,
I am network administrator and I am handling IP telephony in the premises. Voip network consists of MGCP gateway(c2821) ,callmanager 4.1 and cisco 7840 phones. MGCP gateway is also connected to pots line terminated on FXO card from PBX. Whenever anybody dials no. towards ip phone via pots phone, user sitting in front of ip phone is not able to view caller id on ip phone. Message displayed is incoming call from unknown number. Even I checked on PBX caller id feature is enabled on PBX side. Kindly let me know how to resolve this issue.
regards,

MGCP does not support caller ID on FXO, as you will find with a simle search here.
Use instead H.323 or SIP, and everything will work nice and easy.

Just to complete the answer: Caller ID support with MGCP-controlled ports is supported but not until IOS 12.4(24)T and Communications Manager 8.0 or later.
