I have a Cisco Communications Manager V7.1 running at our main site. The gateway is a 2801 with 32 channels of PVDM. All devices run G711 on this site. I also have two sites that each have a Cisco 877 router. The traffic between these sites and the main site is G729.
Calls work fine between the remote sites, and between the remote sites and the main site. However, this is what is happening:
Phone A, located at the remote site, calls Phone B, located at the Main site. Conversation is fine.
Phone B then transfers the call to Phone C, located at the Main site. This call is dropped.
Is there anyway that I can fix this with out moving the remote phones to G711?

No. How could I configure this? I have an ISDN30 (E1) with 8 channels. I thought that I have 2 PVDM2-16 modules, but I can only see one on inventory.

Is the PSTN involved? or is it just the
IP Phones at remote sites?
I am sure they will renegotiate the codecs.
Whats the models? Exact call flow? Who calls who? Transfered to where?
Is recording involved?

I thought that the endpoints should have negotiated the codec as well.
Here is the call flow:
7945 -> 887 -> asa 5510 -> 2801 -> 3560 -> 7945 TRANSFER -> 7945

Are we using Phone proxy setup? Or is just a VPN link from 800 series to the ASA?

Just a VPN between the 877 and ASA.
