Hello,

I am very new with IP Telephony.

We are having an odd issue with calls not coming through from a specific area code.  Any incoming call from any other area code works fine.  Below is the debug isdn q931 output from the problem area code...

Feb  7 20:28:18.804: ISDN Se0/0/0:23 Q931: RX <- SETUP pd = 8  callref = 0x4832
        Bearer Capability i = 0x9090A2
                Standard = CCITT
                Transfer Capability = 3.1kHz Audio
                Transfer Mode = Circuit
                Transfer Rate = 64 kbit/s
        Channel ID i = 0xA18381
                Preferred, Channel 1
        Progress Ind i = 0x8283 - Origination address is non-ISDN
        Calling Party Number i = 0x2183, '312544----'
                Plan:ISDN, Type:National
        Called Party Number i = 0xA1, '283----'
                Plan:ISDN, Type:National
Feb  7 20:28:18.808: ISDN Se0/0/0:23 Q931: Received SETUP  callref = 0xC832 callID = 0x6630 switch = primary-ni interface = User
Feb  7 20:28:18.828: ISDN Se0/0/0:23 Q931: TX -> CALL_PROC pd = 8  callref = 0xC832
        Channel ID i = 0xA98381
                Exclusive, Channel 1
Feb  7 20:28:18.828: ISDN Se0/0/0:23 Q931: TX -> CONNECT pd = 8  callref = 0xC832
Feb  7 20:28:18.896: ISDN Se0/0/0:23 Q931: RX <- CONNECT_ACK pd = 8  callref = 0x4832
Feb  7 20:28:18.896: %ISDN-6-CONNECT: Interface Serial0/0/0:0 is now connected to 3125449765 N/A
Feb  7 20:28:53.361: ISDN Se0/0/0:23 Q931: RX <- DISCONNECT pd = 8  callref = 0x4832
        Cause i = 0x8490 - Normal call clearing
Feb  7 20:28:53.365: %ISDN-6-DISCONNECT: Interface Serial0/0/0:0  disconnected from 3125449765 , call lasted 34 seconds
Feb  7 20:28:53.365: ISDN Se0/0/0:23 Q931: TX -> RELEASE pd = 8  callref = 0xC832
Feb  7 20:28:53.385: ISDN Se0/0/0:23 Q931: RX <- RELEASE_COMP pd = 8  callref = 0x4832

The call appears to be missing the alearting message.  Any ideas?

Thank you in advance

Are you seeing the ALERTING message sent in the successful calls?

is this a CME or CUCM integration?

If CUCM, what is the conection back to CUCM H323/MGCP/SIP as you may need a combination of MTP Required/Inbound Fast Start

Once we know the connection, we can debug accordingly.
