Hello All,
Need your help.
Call Scenario:
Cisco IP Phone --> CUCM --> SIP TRUNK --> Free switch
When I am making an outbound call from my Cisco phone which is registered with CUCM to a Free switch which is configured as SIP trunk,
I am getting 488 not acceptable here.
I read few Cisco documents regarding the same error but I have no idea how to overcome this issue.
Error : Reason: Q.850;cause=88;text="INCOMPATIBLE_DESTINATION"
Is this something to be done with codecs and if yes how to make it success call.
Thanks
Sathya

488 not acceptable here.it could be media which is not accepted by your free switch. do you have traces collected on CUCM side.
Can you please post the same.also are you using Early offer or Delayed Offer for calls.

Sorry for the delayed response. I will try to take RTMT logs.
The scenario is we have 2 trunks pointed to 2 different switches.
The switches accept only PCMA and when calls from CUCM goes through one trunk its taking PCMA and while the other takes PCMU.
Both trunk has the same configuration and I couldnt not find how the different codecs are used by the trunks.
Need your help to find where the issue is and the commands to get the result.
Thanks

CUCM by default uses SIP delayed offer and that may be the reason freeswitch rejects the call with cause 488.
You should check once with SIP early offer.
Can you also share the SIP traces of both working and non-working call...

Thanks for your response. It was fault at my side.
I choose G711a in the trunk and it worked.
Thanks
