cant enter mgcp commands on 2911 router

im trying to configure a voice gateway 2911 router but i cant enter any mgcp or ccm commands , it is a license issue or a ios issue? the current ios is 

c2900-universalk9-mz.SPA.154-2.T.bin

and license output:

Looks to be license issue, you only have the ipbase license which entitles you to the following

You will need the UC license for voice features, once you have the license you can activate it via the following procedure

1)      conf t

2)      license boot module c2900 technology-package ucK9

3)      exit

4)      write memory

5)      reload

isnt it enough to upload it via tftp then issue the command

license install flash:tftp.lic then reboot?

You can first install it in the router flash using TFTP, please check the example below

Then issue the following commands

license install flash: licensename

reload

i was informed by my manager that it should have the needed license , any chance the feature is there but needs to be activated? could the ios have to do with it?

You can check the router flash to see if this uck9 license file is present there. if yes, then use the procedure mentioned above to install it , else you can contact the Cisco TAC licensing team to verify if they can provide the license depending on how the license was ordered.

didnt find any .lic file  , there is no other possibility it could be there and need activation right?

I can't think of anything else. if you check with licensing team they can verify if your serial number for this router is entitled for these licenses or not, so just in case you lost/misplaced the licenses they can reissue the same if you are entitled.

Hi,

I think when licenses are loaded after u generate them, then it shows in flash of router else when router comes pre-loaded with UC license from Cisco, it does not show lic files in show flash.

I checked on one of the 3945 router, it shows in flash since I generated them and loaded.
