cant find 8845 in my cucm 10.5.1.10000-7

my company bought new 8845 but the problem i cant find them in the phone list , is there some sort of patch i need to install to add them?

That expected as this device is not supported on 10.5.1 and there is no device pack to have it enabled, so you'd need to go to 10.5.2 Document below has a list of supported CUCMs with this phone model.

that is very upsetting , well if i upgrade my cucm 10.5.1.10000-7 to 10.5.2 will i need to upgrade my two unity connection "10.5.1.10000-7" and my two IMP "10.5.1.10000-9"?!?

IM&P needs to be upgraded as well, as per document:

"IM and Presence Service and Cisco Unified Communications Manager software versions must match. For example, IM and Presence Service Release 10.5(2) is supported only with Cisco Unified Communications Manager Release 10.5(2). Similarly, IM and Presence Service Release 10.0(1) is supported only with Cisco Unified Communications Manager Release 10.0(1), and so on."

CUC doesn't need to be upgraded.

but those two examples are major releases not minor releases , could it be different with minor releases 10.5.1 and 10.5.2

but im confused why it says unity connection update as well? is the same file used to upgrade unity connection as well?

Yes, same ISO file is used form cucm and cuc.

OVA  template makes difference.

Yes, 10.X onwards it must be same as imp is a subscriber node on cucm pub, so here you need to upgrade imp as well.

And most importantly, after upgrading cucm to 10.5.2 you will have to install device pack as well to have support of 8845 phone.

Actually you don't need device pack on 10.5.2SU3

Ohhh..is it :-) in earlier releases of 10.5.2 we had to apply device pack, +5 for this info :-)

when i went over IMP upgrades i noticed that the latest version is 10.5.2su2 and there isnt any 10.5.2su3 to match with the cucm version "10.5.2su3" im planning to upgrade to ?? what should i do if im supposed to match the same minor version on both imp and cucm?
