Change name on Cisco IP Phone 7942

Hi Guys ,

  I have  Cisco IP Phone 7942 and it has top right on the screen my friends name . I want to change it to mine . Can you please help me how to change the display name on  Cisco IP Phone 7942 .

Hi,

Go to the Phone Configuration page on cucm, select the directory number and edit the "Line Text Label" filed. Save and Reset.

I hope you have access to cucm admin page. If yes, Login into CUCM admin page > Device > Phone > search and select your phone > Click on DN on left side > Search for Line Text Label and edit the field > Save and Reset from top.
