CISCO 7921 error Registration rejected

                   Hi,

    I have a new cisco 7921 wireless phone i am trying to the network, but i keep getting registration rejected. I have other 7921 that are working just fine.

We are using call manager version 8.6

Is the phone configured in CUCM or are you using auto registration?

Did you try to perform factory reset on the phone? This may be a certificate issue.

The Phone is configured in the CM and we are not using auto registration.I deleted it from the CM several times and recreated it without luck.  I did not perform a factory reset on the phone. should I ?

Yes, if phone was used on another CUCM 8.X cluster before security by default will prevent it from registering with new cluster unless you delete the ITL cert or perform factory reset.

I performed a factory reset and still Registration rejected.  Theres nothing in the ITL to delete it is empty.

What messages do you see under phone status log?  Can you browse the IP address of the phone and review any console logs?

Hi,

In addition to the suggestion of Chris, try deleting the phone configuration in CUCM, then create the phone again.

What is the firmware version of working 7921 phone ? Was this working phone also purchased along with new phone or it is old purchase.

Secondly, do u have enough licenses in CUCM for new 7921 to register.

   We have pelnty of licenses and the firmware version for the phone that is not working is cp7921g-mfg-d.7.loads and for the phone that is working cp7921g-1.4.2.loads. I am not shore how long ago the phone was purchased.

The cp7921g-mfg.7.loads firmware is the one which has come default from factory?

Can u try mentioning working firmware name  in Phone Load Name in Device ---Phone for non-working phone and check?

Hi The Firm work on the working phone is cp7921g-1.4.2.loads I will try to change the non working phone firmware from

cp7921g-mfg-d.7.loads to cp7921g-1.4.2.loads
