Cisco 7937 Mics

Doe anyone know if the regular mics on the 7937 continue to work even with the extended Mics plugged in? It seems they don't and I wonder if they can be configured to do so? I mean when you connect a mic kit, does the mic on the main unit go off?

Thanks!

Sanjay

Are these extended mics supported by Cisco? Where did you purchase them and what's the PID for them? Unless they are compatible, there are going to be issues.

Yes they are supported extended Mic Kits from our vendor.

Are these the ones you are talking about?

What's the firmware of the 7937 phone?

Yes they are and the FIrmware is

Ok. Connecting the extended mics shouldn't affect the base unit. It should still work too. I haven't seen any issues where the base unit mic stops functioning when the extended ones are present. IT should be a setting on the phone if it doesn't work for you.

Cool thanks! I am going to play with it and see if it is indeed an issue.
