Hi,
I have got CUCM 8.6.2 (Pub and Sub). In my environment I have 7911,7940,7945.......uptp 7965 series ip phone working fine no problem at all. We just got 8945 ip phone and I connected them to the network and they are registered to publisher. I can call internally, can recieve calls internally and externally however, I am not able to call externally. When ever I try to dial external number prefix ''0'' to get outside line and then the outside number it gives busy tone. Can anyone plese help me in this. Thanks.

Hi Rohit,
Are 79XX phones able to call outside[ PSTN ]?
Secondly, are the 79XX and 8945 ip phone in same partition and CSS?
Is the call hitting the gateway after u dial from 8945 IP phone?
regds,
aman

Hi Aman,
yes all 79XX series phones are able to call outside. Both of them are in same partition and css. I checked the voice gateway with sh isdn history and i can not see any call that is hitting from 8945. However, I made external call from other phone 7965 and I can see that over there. If I call from outside to 8945 phone I can see that call in the gateway. Thanks.

Rohit

Hi Rohit,
can u run debug isdn q931 on VG and check if the call is hitting from 8945 to outside PSTN? Please capture the logs .If the call is hitting VG, please share the called number as well.
Is your VG on MGCP or H.323 ?
Are u able to dial complete PSTN number after u press "0" on 8945?
regds,
aman

Hi Aman,
My VG is on H.323. I am able to dial complete pstn number after pressing ''0'' on 8945.

Rohit

Hi Aman,
Its strange that I can not see any calls on the voice gateway after debug isdn q931 is on. But I can make external calls from other phones just fine. Can not see nything in router. I think VG router needs a reboot. What do u think?
Regards
Rohit.

Hi Rohit,
Are u telneting into the router or connected through Console ?
If through Telnet , then, are u using terminal monitor and check again for the debugs.
Do not reboot the router.

Hi Rohit,
I can see some numbers like 93972784[call lasted for 23 seconds],418952567,894613866 .
What u do is try making a call from outside to 8945 IP phone and then, try outside call from 8945?
Just make a note of the called/calling numbers and then, share the log.

aman

Hi Rohit,
I think u are using Video on 8945 IP phone while on other 79XX phones u are not using Video .Is that Correct?
Do u get option of entering command bearer-cap speech under the voice-port?
regds,
aman
04-26-2013 12:05 AM
Hi Aman,
Yes we are using video internally when calling from one 8945 to another. otherwise its only voice.Yes I can enter this command under voice-port 0/0/0:15

rohit

Hi Rohit,
From the logs for outgoing calls, it shows Incompatible destination and there is an issue related to this while Video is used.
Please enter the command and check for results for all incoming and outgoing calls for all models.

Hi Aman,
It worked. I disabled the video from the phone first and tried to call out it worked. Then I entered the command in the voice-port and enabled the video as well. It worked with that and all the other phones are also working fine. Thanks a lot man for your help and patience. I you don't mind was it from this section 0x80D8 - Incompatible destination
that you came to know what the issue was? Once again thanks a lot.
regards
Rohit.
