Cisco BE6000S license & Installation Questions

Hi all,
I received the Below using edelivery which have to be deployed in Cisco BE6000S (BE6S-FXO-M2-K9):
My questions:
1- Are all/some licenses came installed in the BE6K-S router when purchased or i have to install them using PAK in CUCM & Unity.?
2- As it is BE6KS which has fixed application, how to use the below Telepresence VCS-Expressway licenses? OR will be installed in other server?

3- refer to attached plz,what is the mean of unfulfilled, do these need to be installed in the CUCM??
4- need configuration guide for VCS & Jabber in CUCM BE6K-S.
5- is the quick start guide for BE6000S & installation guide sufficient for first step to deploy or you have other advised resources?

1 Licensing AFAIK is the same, you'll need to use PLM, as with any other deployment

2 The set of applications on the BE6KS is fixed, you cannot change or swap the applications, if you want some other app(s) you need a separate server for them.

4 Same configuration guides apply to any deployment, there are no special config guides for the apps on a 6KS, review the VCS and Jabber docs on cisco.com for the config.

Hi Mohammed,

PLM is Prime License Manager which comes inbuilt on the CUCM v 11.5 or you could install it separately. This PLM manages the CUCM licenses. You cannot install licenses on the CUCM directly and has to upload the licenses in PLM.

• You have to Install the PAK for CUCM and Unity. None is preinstalled except the ESXi License.

• Depending on you Server CPU Density there are fixed amount of Application Supported on Each Server Refer Below Link. So you can install Expressway on Same Hardware if resoucese are available as per below guide.

• Unfulfilled means you have to install this licenses on CUCM, Expresssway etc servers.

 Search for configuration guide as per Expressway Version you are installing, doesn't vary based on Hardware.

         You might need to look at other resources for CUCM,CUC, Expressway Installations.

Thanks a lot for your detailed answers.

I think Question 2, the customer purchased the wrong server which is S (router based) in which the Expressway can only be installed high or medium density.

You cannot install on the same server as you have got a BE6S, You have to install it on any other supported servers on the list or have to procure any UCS servers.
