HI

I have a client that has purchased Cisco Flex-3 licenses for 12 months with basic support. What happens if he does not renew his subscription after the 12 months.

Thanks

Depends on the product but generally speaking the licenses expire and the customer loses entitlement to use the software. It’s an annuity subscription.

CUCM, for example, will enter license violation mode and if not corrected within 90 days the admin UI will go read-only; call processing continues but the config is frozen.

Once subscription expired, system will move to evaluation mode which runs 90 days. Post 90 days system will move to enforced mode where you wont be able to make any changes. You can  run the system without any changes.

Second, there wont be any support from Cisco incase any  issues.

Third you cannot upgrade the system to latest versions.

Also keep in mind that , after 90 days, your Subscription wili be no longer elegible for a renewal order but you’ll need to get a new one.
