Cisco IOS and North American Numbering Plan

Dear all,

My IOS is 12.4(13r)T5, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)

I notice that IOS automatically change my calling and called number type when it detect my calling and called number match with North American Numbering Plan. I don't want it. Can anyone notice it before? Is this a feature of IOS?

Are there anyway to overcome this? I want type and plan to be Unknown without using voice translation rule. I mean to overcome the North American Numbering Plan detection feature of IOS.

Hi

I believe you can override it with isdn map under the serial interface: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios/12_3t/dial/command/reference/dia_i2gt.html#wp1212108
