I have seen this document

I have version 10.5 of CME and client has ordered 7811 phones. I can see that they are unlisted in the phone type
Is there something to do or should I get the client to order a different device?

Hi Charles,
This doc is from January 2015, i have seen some more recent internal email exchanges where support for 7811 is not yet specified for CME 10.5. However, the link that you mentioned does create a confusion. That's why i am suggesting Jakub to approach his Cisco Account team or TAC to get this verified. If i get any concrete info on this in the meantime i will get back to this post and update it.

Hi Jakub,
What you can do is, on the cli create an ephone 1 and then "type device ?" to check what all devices are supported. If its there, then you know you can configure it.

It is not on the list. Does that mean I cannot configure it?
7821, 7841, 7861 are listed but 7811 is not

It should be in the list to configure it. However, I would suggest, if you can open a tac case before you ask your client to order new devices.

78XX are supported on CME, see list of supported features:

Hi Jakub,
As per the following 7811 is not supported on CME 10.5

7821 , 7841 and 7861 are supported.

just to confirm for future reference, the document below is incorrect where it states that 7811 is supported in cme 10.5 using fast track configuration.

I think I will just pull some 7821 out of inventory and sell/configure those to minimize expense. Price difference is negligible compared to time spent getting them to work.
