Dear Friends,
We are using Call Manager - 6.1-7816-H3 with Zoom Callrec 5.1 recording. However, we are planning for new call manager version with media sense recording.
i have few queries regarding media sense & i hope that you will provide me information on it.
1- How media sense is stable compare to Zoom callrec.
2- Features compare to Zoom Callrec.
3- Will media sense supports encrypt ions?
4- are media sense recording compatible with 7941 telephones?
5- is it compatible with Cisco switch IOS 12.2 ?
6- Do we have to purchase extra server for Media sense or we can install as a VM within a hyper-visor? ( We are just 100 users with 30 phone recordings).
thank you in advance & give me details if you guys having links or extra information regarding media sens.

Hi,
Mediasense virtualization requirements are listed here, the OVA requirements are stringent and can not be altered
http://docwiki.cisco.com/wiki/Virtualization_for_Cisco_MediaSense#Version_11.x
Installation process and requirements are listed here
http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cust_contact/contact_center/mediasense/901/inst_admin/CUMS_BK_IFE33F4B_00_mediasense-install-and-admin-guide/CUMS_BK_IFE33F4B_00_mediasense-install-and-admin-guide_chapter_010.html#CUMS_TP_I8FD4F5D_00
7941 phones are supported.
Mediasense characteristics and features are listed here
http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cust_contact/contact_center/mediasense/11/Design_Guide/CUMS_BK_MC36D963_00_mediasense-srnd_11/CUMS_BK_MC36D963_00_mediasense-srnd_10-5_chapter_010.html
You can compare the same with the recording solution that you are running by checking with their support for feature support documentation.

Hi Manish,
Thank you for the detail information & links.
if possible, please share some information on media sens encryption & supported switch IOS versions.
Secondly, the below point is confusing me.
In the datasheet its mentioned in audio recording that " The unified network platform performs dual audio stream recording of conversations (that is, it records both sides of the conversation as separate but correlated entities), facilitating speech analytics.
If A person is having a communication with B,does it means that the audio recording will record separately for A & B person or it will save recording as one file & we can hear both of them simultaneously.
Best Regards;
Jawed.
