Cisco Unity Viewmail - Hows it connect?

Guys,

Having an issue with Viewmail just now; Its complaining that unknown problems are preventing connections to the server.

Its version 8.0(3) running on windows 7 enterprise with outlook 2007 SP2 and Unity 5.0

We also have exactly the same configuration running on the same model hardware on the same network segment but with windows Vista and it works fine.

Windows firewall is disabled.

Are there any diagrams available that anyone knows of that explain how viewmail works and what it uses to connect to the Cisco Unity server?  I think whatever is wrong with it is happening in the windows 7 OS but at the moment I have no idea how Viewmail interfaces with Unity so don't know where to start looking on the OS.

Viewmail uses underling IMAP connection back to Unity Connection, however it authenticates separately, make sure the user credentials have not expired as ViewMial does not ask to re-type those in when they do, you will need to go to Outlook options for viewmail and re-enter them.
