Cisco VWIC-1MFT-T1 Voice-Port Problem

Hi guys,

I'm trying to configure a T1 controller (VWIC-1MFT-T1) for voice which is installed on a 2651XM (12.4(15)T9).

After I've set it up, it came up and the serial0/0:0 was created and was up.

The problem is I can't find any voice-port in the config. It seems the voice-port 0/0:0 isn't created.

Has anyone had this issue before?

#sh run | i voice-port

Can u also share the show diag/ show inventory  as well ?

Have u inserted VWIC in NM-V card?

that's the problem I think. It must be used with a nm-v card.

Hi Stephan,

Do you see the controller T1 when you do the show running. If not then you have to run commands card type t1 slot#.

Slot # can be easily got from sh inventory result.

after that it would be activated and then you woule be able to see and configure T1, also would be able to configure the serial interface.
