Hello,

at an customer I have a CME which have its phones registered as SIp Devices. The customer wants to use speed dials. The lists are very long so I cannot use voice translation rules. With sccp phones I have the possibility to use the bulk-speed-dial command. This do not work with the sip phones as tested.

Is there a possibilty to use this feature with the sip devices?

Thanks for your help

No. SIP phones lack many features. They should be avoided to get the good results.

It's a quiet old thread but whatever...

It's really upsetting that SIP registrar implementation on CME is rather limited.

Ok, few years ago Cisco customers are encouraged to use Cisco SCCP protocol etc. to block using 3rd Party SIP IP phones and to sell more Cisco IP phones.

But now, all new Cisco IP phone models use SIP. We don't have a choice here but to use SIP protocol.

I don't understand how Cisco wants to sell newer model IP phones with a such buggy and SIP-feature-limited platform such as CME ? How ?

The bulk-speed-dial feature is really genius! But SCCP will soon be deprecated and we need REAL support for SIP IP Phones in CME.

And the biggest joke in all this is FastTrack ! Haha

I hope CME 11.0 will bring real change to this whole mess.
