Hello all,
I have been tasked with migrating our five PRI gateways (2921) to SIP (dedicated service, not included in DIA ports). We are also looking at changing providers. The provider we are in talks with has indicated that I need to have CME running on my 2921 routers in order for them to supply the SIP trunks. I am aware that I will need CUBE licensing, but I am failing to understand why an installation of CME would be needed. Only a single location will not be connected via direct fiber, and that location is connected via MPLS 50Mbps circuit. I was under the impression that I could simply reconfigure these MGCP gateways to SIP gateways, with CUBE license for each.
*EDIT* I forgot to mention that these 2921 routers currently have SRST configured, and we are currently implementing CER11.
Any input is appreciated!

There is no reason CME is necessary in this scenario. CUBE licenses/config will be sufficient.
