CME Upgrade

Hi All,

I have to perform a CME upgrade. The existing router is a 2851, whilst the new router is the 2951. My concern is the voicemail aspect. We will advise to clear all voicemail boxes before cutover however can the users voicemail pins and greetings be exported from one CUE to the another?

Yes. You can do a complete backup, and restore to new system, transparently to the users.

Will the version of CUE affect this restore, we will be going from version 3 to 8. Also can explain how this restore can be done? Can you forward any documentation.

Backups don'tt appear to be version dependant, however you can update the CUE on the 2851 as well to version 7.x or 8.x before doing the backup.
