Computer Unidentified network issues when Behind IP Phone

Hi,

We came across weird issues. Computers connected to Switch are not working correctly when connected via cisco desk phone - showing unidentified network. Without desk phone computers working fine. Issue started +- a week ago.

switchport port-security aging time 2
switchport port-security aging type inactivity

Phone type: CP-8841

More than one computer & desk phone is impacted.

switch - cisco WS-C3850-48P - 16.12.07

 

CUCM - System version: 14.0.1.12900-161

 

Any suggestion's will be highly appreciated. Thank you

violation count increase' violation happened when 

1- the mac number more than max

2- the mac appear in other ports

I as you show port-secuirty mac and I will ask you again check port secuirty mac see if the pc mac appear in other port.

It looks like it is working fine when behind Cisco IP Phone 7942. Issue present when behind Cisco 8841

So the issue not related to Switch config, more of Phone - check any new Firmware on that model phone and upgrade and check.

It looks like 8841 are now fixed after they have been factory reset. Below key procedure:

Reset Cisco 8841/51 to factory

  1. Press "#" when you power on the phone
  2. You will see the headset,speaker and mute will light on and then light off.
  3. When you see only headset and speaker turn on again, please press 123456789*0# in sequence.
  4. After you pressed the the first digit "1", you will see speaker turn off.
  5. After all the number are input completely in sequence, you will see Mute button turns on to indicate phone begin to do the factory reset.

Brief 7942 and 8841 give internet to laptop.

However, for phones 7841 the issue is still present. 7841 doesn’t even after factory reset The attached bug refers only to 88xx models.
