CP-7821 showing incorrect timeing

Hi,

We are using cisco CP-7821 IP phones but some IP phones are showing incorrect time. Need assistence for fix this issue.

What sort of 'incorrect'? Minutes out of sync, or hours out of sync? I.e. drift, or timezone?

Have you configured and assigned NTP references  in CUCM?

Hours & Minuts both are out of sync....

Current time is 06:11PM but some IP phones are showing 12:42PM.

and I have already configured and assigned NTP references in CUCM.

Did you assign the correct date and time group for the phones in CUCM ?

 

Verify the Time Zone on the NTP server and your CUCM

Just look into this bug related to Asia Time Zone for 78xx series.  what is firmware  for IP phones?

Any chace if u can upgrade one problematic phone to latest firmware

Hi Aman,

As per your suggestion, I checked the firmware version of IP phones and i found that some IP phones which are showing correct timing having firmware version

sip78xx.10-1-1SR1-4.loads

And some which are showing incorrect timing having firmware version 

sip78xx.10-2-1-12SR1-4.loads

> Time zone is correct because only 4 out of 30 showing incorrect time.

even though the problematic phones have got latest firmware available on cisco site.

either u can try degrading the firmware or open TAC to get ES version.

I have downgrade the FW version from sip78xx.10-2-1-12SR1-4.loads   To sip78xx.10-1-1SR1-4.loads but the problem is still same.

It is strange.

I am just guessing : can u try doing factory reset for one phone and then, check on sip78xx.10-1-1SR1-4 ?

Thanks for your help, 

Problem has been resolved after factory reset.

 

Activity:

1> Downgrade the fw version from new to old

2>factory reset

Now all IP phones are showing correct date and time.
