CP-8865-3PCC and 8800 V-KEM not working

Does the 8800 V-KEM work with the 8865-3PCC? I purchased one and plugged it into the phone and it isn't powering up.  I have a power cord on the phone too so it isn't pulling power from PoE.

1. Whats the software version on the phone?

2. Whats the value set for KEM Type? (On device webpage Voice->Att Console->General->KEM Type)

Thanks.

Many thanks for your note. The software version is sip8845_65.11-2-1MPP-630.loads.

For KEM type, I don’t even see that on the screen (this is an 8865-3PCC phone). Below is a screen shot of what that page looks like.

Please upgrade to 11.2.3MPP.398 available for download on Cisco software download and retry.

Thanks.

Firemware 11.2(3) is required for 8865 KEM support.

The KEM only supports 802.3at PoE, so depending on the switching setup, I would think a power adapter would need plugged directly into the KEM.  It is how many of mine are die to not supporting 802.3af for the 8865.

In the image, it looks as if the device is configured correctly as all that should be required is the "Number of Units" setting.

Please review the admin guide, section Cisco IP Phone Key Expansion Module for more details specific to the 8865.
