CP-9971 line automatically goes on hold when call is answered

I have a CP-9971 desk set, active load sip9971.9-4-1-9 (04/22/15). It's been working without issue for many months. Just recently, as soon as an outbound call is answered, the line is immediately put on hold. I need to hit "Resume" for the call to proceed. Inbound calls don't seem to be impacted.

Any ideas on what is causing this?

Hi Ron, 

If you see the same behavior from this 9971 to another IP phone as well then it's probably a phone related issue. You may try a firmware upgrade or factory reset. If it's only for outbound calls to pstn the n you should collect detailed callmanager traces for a test call and phone console logs for RCA.

After posting, I spoke with our internal help desk and they had me reboot the phone (unplug all cables). That seems to have fixed the issue. Appreciate your advice but I think I'm good for now.
