Creating SoftPhone using Cisco CTI

Hi All,

We have following queries needs to be answered:

1> We have custom build CTI Driver for Siebel (CTI.dll) used to integrate Siebel CRM with Cisco CM. Can we use same dll to make SoftPhone?

2> From where we get API Reference manual for programmers to build softphone using Cisco CTI (dll)?

You can use the Cisco Telephony Services Provider (TSP) which installs a Windows TAPI provider. This is version-specific to your CUCM version and can be downloaded from Application > Plugins within /ccmadmin. You would be best served by writing to the Windows TAPI APIs. Note that every time you upgrade CUCM the TSP must also be upgraded wherever it is installed.

Dear Jonathan,

Thanks for your reply, but we want to use SiebelCtiDrivers.dll to make Softphone. Do you mean we can not use this DLL for the said purpose? If yes then please tell us the reason(s).

Below are the details about the CiscoLibrary(used in the DLL) and other product versions info:

1. Cisco Call Manager version  4.3
2. Cisco IPCC Express version  6.0
3. Cisco CTI version - 2006 (.H anc .CPP files in CiscoLibrary does not contains version information)

Jonathan above is correct. If you want to use different software/drivers, you have to ask support to the vendor of these, not here.
