CUCM 11 | MEET ME

Hey All,

Hope someone has tried the new Meet Me in CUCM 11. 

Can you please share your experience and anything I should note if I was to reply.

Hi Mohamed,

In CUCM 11, Meet me feature has an enhancement. You can configure a pin for the meeting. Please refer the below document for the complete configuration.

MeetMe has not changed at all in version 11, it works the same as it always did. What did change is an additional feature called "Conference Now" which has nothing to do with MeetMe. It's basically IVR type based system allowing users to authenticate into conference bridges.

Hi Chris,

What I meant was with conference now, we can configure and use MeetMe conference with authentication starting from version 11. As per my understanding, conference now is an enhanced version of MeetMe conference. Correct me if I am wrong.

Conference Now is a separate feature from MeetMe, the MeetMe still exists as it did in previous versions.  You could think of Conference Now as a replacement as it is more robust and provides one dedicated conference ID for every user (obviously limited to number of available conference bridges across the cluster for capacity).
