CUCM 7.1(3) IP TSP H245 issue

Hi,

Can samebody help me understanding the H245 issue I get

   What is "dataType audioData : g729 : 4" and

what is "dataType audioData : g729 : 3"

This happens while UCCX 7.0(1) script makes a "call redirect" to a Broadcast mode Attendant Pilot Point on CUCM 7.1(3) for an incomming IP TSP call.

Prefered G729 framing is 40ms due to TSP requirements.

This config comes from a 4.2(3) to 7 upgrade

Calls from Ip TSP directly to Attendant PilotPoint or to the UCCX CTI route-point work well.

Kind Regards

Guy RICHARD

The G.729 = 4 is a packet size of 40ms

The G.729 = 3 is a packet size of 30ms

I hope this helps.

Hi Steven,

Thanks. Why does CUCM propose 729 : 3, only during a call transfert (service parameters prefered framing is 40ms for G729).

When I call directly the UCCX CTi route-point or the Attendant pilot-point the codec proposed is G729 40ms.

But when a call is redirected by UCCX to the attendant pilot the codec proposed is only 30ms and in that case, the 40ms proposed by the IP TSP is rejected and the call is released by the CUCM.

Guy

Try checking your voice gateway dial-peers and see if that codec is setup in your gateway?

Also look at the voice class codecs in the gateway and see if the bytes is defined after the codec.

If you use voice class codec to define preference of codecs,  then the default codec of the dial peer will not be used in codec  negotiation and you cannot define codecs directly on the dial-peer.
voice class codec 1

codec preference 1 g711ulaw

codec preference 1 g711alaw

In this case, the router will negotiate only g711ulaw and g711alaw. It will not use the dial-peer default codec of g729r8.

As I wrote before, I have no voice gatway but a H323 peering with an IP Telephony Provider that  accepts only G729 40ms.

All other types of call work well. That config worked well during a few years in CCM 4.2(3) before upgrading to 7.
