Hello,
We are having an issue in understanding CUCM 9.0 licenseing part & need urgent help.
We have total 90 multiple type of cisco phones (7965, 6921, 89xx) + 20 jabber clients in our network. We purchased CUWL Standard 100 linceses by considering that this license support all device types incl 100 Jabber.
After installing license we are facing Basic (9.0) In-Sufficient license -7 in Enterprise License Manager.
On finding we found that Basic License cover 6921 6911 phones. We have 10 6921 devices into CUCM.
Check the attachment.
We raised this issue to cisco license team just to ask that do we need additional basic license to cover 6921, they said u need to buy more license.
We raised it to cisco_sales_case_management@external.cisco.com & they confirmed that CUWL Standard License should cover Basic License.
So our confusion is, if CUWL standard covers all device types incl 6921 so why we should buy additional basic license.
& if we dont need to buy additional license then why we are getting -7 in-sufficient error & how CUCM is calculating the licenses ?

Hi Anis,
CUWL standard covers all type phone models and include Unity connection except Webex Meetings and Webex Social while Basic UCL covers 6911 and 6921 models only.
What I think since u have purchased only CUWL standard license number 100 and no UCL have been purchased so they stand-in/used for UCL BASIC support[10] and Enhanced support [93]?

Hi Anis,
since u are using Jabber functionality [Mobile/Desktop], so , enhanced UCL license have been consumed as shown in snapshot [93 is the figure] .
Either u purchase more CUWL Standard or UCL BASIC licenses. You can speak to Cisco SE for more details.
