CUCM 9.1 UCS question

Hello,

We're planning a fresh 9.1 instalation on a UCS server and would like to know what our options are in case of a hardware failure. Would it be possible to move a copy to a different server? What issues and procedures would be necessary regarding the licences?

What you can do with ESXi is here:

Assuming you have all the VM files in a SAN and no ESXi failover mechanism, you can just register the VM in another server.

If you have co-res ELM, same applies, if standalone, and on another server, no need for anything regarding licensing, if co-res, still nothing needs to be done.

If you have the files IN the server and they fail, and the HDD fails, then DRS is your only choice.

Either way, you should have a DRS schedule in place.

Hi Ivana,

The licenses are no more binded to MAC address of servers and are ELM based.

secondly, the backup are platform independent.
