CUCM CUBE ITSP how many dial peers do i need on the CUBE?

Hi,

I'm trying to figure out SIP trunks instead of PSTN lines and I've hit a little trouble.

I've got it configured so that out bound calling works from a user on my cucm to external numbers however inbound calling isnt working.

I have my cucm server, my cube router and the ITSP service off the internet.

My question is. how many dial peers should I have on the cube router?

I originally thought it was 4:

1 inbound from cucm to cube

2 outbound from cube to itsp

3 inbound from itsp to cube

4 outbound from cube to cucm

However now i'm wondering if it should only be 2...

1 in and outbound between cucm and cube

2 in and outbound from cube and itsp.

Which is correct? Or am I way off?

Many Thanks,

Tom

The best would be explicitly define the inbound and outbound dial-peer for inbound & outbound calls. as your call-flow topology has two broader sets CUBE to CUCM and CUBE to ITSP.  so you need to create 4(two inbound and two outbound) dial-peer on the CUBE

CUCM----SIP----CUBE------SIP-----ITSP

- Inbound dial-peer for calls from CUCM towards to ITSP (to accept call legs from CUCM to CUBE).

- Another Inbound dial-peer to accept call legs from ITSP to CUB.

-

- outbound dial-peer for calls to SP from CUCM. (To originate call legs from CUBE to SP).

-Another Outbound dial-peer to originate call legs to CUCM from CUBE.
