i have integerated CUCM with AD2008.
the AD users are showing up in the end user details of CUCM.
the user authentication is also done via the AD.
when the user press the directory button on the phone and goes to corporate directory, it displays all the info from AD.
the problem is when user want to check the personal directory, he has to enter username and pin.
in the PIN field how can we enter alphabets.
do all users have to change the pin to numberic letters only !!

Hi,
The PIN (which has only numbers) field description says:
Enter numeric characters for the end user PIN. You must enter at least the minimum number of characters that are specified in the assigned credential policy (1-127 characters).
Hope it helps.

Hi
Use BAT to bulk reset pins from various users.(CUCM Admin->Bul Administration->Users->Reset Password\PIN)Modify the CUCM Admin Page > User Management > Credentials Policy Defaults > Default Credential Policy > Choose the one with Credential Type = PIN and uncheck "User Must Change at Next Login" and then Check "User Cannot Change"Hope it helps.
Incase if you do not want the users to change there PIN's during the first login.

The PINs are local to CUCM, these are not AD passwords, PINs are used for some IP based applications, such as Extension Mobility, Personal Directory, etc and that authentication is local to CUCM only via PIN.
