I'm interested in building a CUCM lab.  I know there are a bunch of threads on this, but need some guidance.  I have vmware workstation and I know the OVA's can be installed on it, but that's the first question.  I don't have the ability to get the software from Cisco.   We don't use Cisco Voice at our office.. only data.  I see on ebay you can purchase the software with the understanding about the limited license where you have to reinstall every 60 or 90 days.  Is there anything specific I should watch out for when buying on there, or is there another avenue I can explore.

Hi there

You can install CUCM on VM workstations. But the catch here is..How to get the bootable ISO files for CUCM/CUC etc. Cisco don’t publish the bootable ISOs, so you have to order thru the proper channels. My recommendation is to touch base with one of the partners for a bootable file. Also the fact that you already a Cisco customer, I am fully confident that if you talk to your Cisco Account Manager or System Engineer, they never let that opportunity down. They can also provide the demo license as well
