You are over subscribed on your DLU licenses as seen by the negative number. Cisco allows you to oversubscribe usually by 5-10%, you have the following options to mitigate it:

1. Buy additional licenses

2. Clean up the system from un-used phones/features

3. Review you configuration to ensure you are tying features such as mobility, softphones to the users/physical devices to use less DLUs, the detailed report under the licensing section shows how you are using those.

You cannot buy DLUs, either UCL or CUWL will do.

Dear Chris

Thanks for your reply ........

I have another doubt ,Recently i have started seen that whenever we add new phones Active Load ID is showing unknown. We are running CUCM 7 version earlier active load id use to show "sccp11.8-5-2SRIS" but now its started unknown more often.

Can anyone please let me know the reason , does active load id showing unknown effects outside calling.

I believe there were few defects on it, the important question is are the phones upgrading properly?

If you click on the IP address of the phone from within CUCM does it show the proper App Load ID on the webpage?

If not, what version does it show?

HTH,

Chris

Dear all

I have a new task for configuring a remote site IP telephone register with my call manager 7.1.3,in remote site

there is no call manager system, only one 1941 router ,one 2960 switch and one public IP. by default CUCM 7.1.3 does'nt have VPN facility.could u suggest a network toplogy such as from our side to remote site.i want to know each step by step from both side.i hope u can give a solution !!!!!!!!!!

regards

Mohd Haneef

Mohd,

So, this location does not have a WAN connection to the hub where CUCM is located?

If correct, then you have the following options:

1. Add this location to your WAN by extending your MPLS or whatever connectivity you have throughout your enterprise (recommended)

2. Utilize the VPN connection and deploy phones and voice GW at the remote sites over the VPN, keep in mind you cannot guarantee any QOS with this topology, however I have customers doing this successfully

3. Deploy yhe phones with phone VPN capability, you would need to go up to CUCM 8.0 or newer for that though and have ASA with licenses at the head end location.

HTH,

Chris

Dear Chris

As of now there is no WAN conectivity between these sites. The CUCM is located in the HQ.from here the many conectivity to diferent sites, also we have ASA MPLS technology etc.i dont have any option to upgrade from CUCM 7 to 8.i just want to know the existing network ,how it would be posible.could you clarify the following things as it is mentioned ur above replay.

--why did you say QOS is not guarantee...(codec g729?)

----which type of  IP phone model supported for this scenario.(feature,vpn....)

-----what i have to confirmed in the remote site configuration..(in site, router -> 1941,switch-> 2960 and dynamic public IP)

------we have to configure in the site limited phones only...(just only 5 phones conected to HQ)

-------could you share your any costomer topology or share your experience.

Mohd Haneef

Because you are sending the traffic over Internet encapsulated in VPN, there is not way to prioritize this traffic on the Internet.

All phones will work if you will do site to site VPN on the ASA/router, since you do not have CUCM 8, phone VPN is impossible hence no phone dependency.

Perhaps it would be wise to hire a professional for such an implementation if you do not have experience with VPN configuration (I am not a security engineer) and cisco telephony experience.

HTH,

Chris
