CUCM publisher reboot

Hi, I will need to patch esxi on the publisher, subs are patched already. Do i need to restart subs after PUB patching complete and I power it up ? 

As I understand when I shutdown PUB I dont need to touch subs, correct ?

Upgrading/patching ESXi is completely independent of CUCM, if you just shutdown the PUB to do this, then just bring it back up.

No. You can shutdown Pub. Upgrade the ESXi version. Once competed turn back the Pub ON.

However it’s always recommended to check the dB replication/service status and make sure no errors after any node restart.

Also take a backup prior to reboot
