Hello,
I have a customer with CUCM 11.5 which will be upgrading soon to 12.5. The customer is a bank and they are very conscious about security and do not want the CUCM connecting to CSSM cloud either directly, via a proxy or through an on-premise CSSM server.
The customer Flex Plan provides CUWL type licenses which are intended for users with three or more devices but the users only have one device - mostly Jabber for Windows - and so would consume a UCL Enhanced license.
My understanding is that when using Specific License Reservation CUCM licenses cannot be loaned between tiers. So, if I reserverded the CUWL licenses provided by the Flex Plan, those would be available but would not be usable for the users as they only have one device.
Is this the case? If so, is it possible to select a lower tier of license when doing the reservation? I believe it might be as in the past I used SLR for UCCX 12.5 and was able to select Standard licenses even though the customer had bought Premium licenses.
