CUCM_TO_CUBE Trunk Down - Status Reason 2

ciscoMFNAO
Level 1
Level 1

Hi all,

We are configuring a new SIP Trunk to our new 2900 router that will be conneting to a our SIP Provider. Topology looks like:  CUCM---SIP TRUNK - CUBE - SIP TRUNK - SIP PROVIDER

Currentely we are stuck trying to get the CUCM trunk up. We follow Cisco Guide and configure the trunk but the trunk is down with the status reason 2. When a call is placed nothing seems to hit the CUBE with debug enabled.

We wonder if there is something else that needs to be configure first in CUBE as the router is new. Please see bellow the configuration made so far to allow the SIP Trunk connection on the CUBE:

PLEASE HELP...if you have any ideias what can cause this status reason 2 or if there is something that may preventy the router to recieve calls from the CUCM TRunk.

Yes I reseted many time. Even with disabled ping options calls doesn´t hit the CUBE.

I think I´m missing someting on the CUBE itself. We have another broken 2951 CUBE with almost the same voip config. I changed the SIP Trunk  IP to that router and the SIP Trunk goes up in seconds.

I really don´t know what´s wrong with this router config!!

There is not much from a configuration perspective. You just have an IP address and the rest of the config. Can you take a pcap from the router ? I want to see if the packets are even hitting the CUBE.

!create profile under configuration mode
ip traffic-export profile CUBE mode capture
bidirectional
exit

!apply to an interface
interface gig0/0
ip traffic-export apply CUBE size <bytes>

If you're worried about the max size you can put the max size in. The default is 5 MB.

Then you can use these exec (enable) level commands:

Router#traffic-export interface gig0/0 clear
Router#traffic-export interface gig0/0 start

<capture the problem>

Router#traffic-export interface gig0/0 stop
Router#traffic-export interface gig0/0 copy flash:sniffer.pcap

Copy the sniffer capture using a TFTP server:
#copy flash tftp:

Yes, I finished the capture, but I need to move now to the office because I´m not able to tftp o the router cuz I´m using VPN to access it. I´ll collect the logs and send it asap.

Thanks so much for you attention..

Hi Nipon,

Hope you´re well.

Would you please have a look at the capture I made on the CUBE interface that seems is not recieving UDP traffic from CUCM. I´m sending printscreens because the page don´t let me attache rar or PCAP files.

It shows only two tcp lines between CUCM and CUBE IP Address as showed in the attachement.

Any ideias what maybe prevent CUCM open trunk with CUBE it?????

ISSUE SOLVED.

This IOS as a bug https://quickview.cloudapps.cisco.com/quickview/bug/CSCub45303.

Just Added Dial.Peers to the Configuration as sugested by another member and reload the router as the bug page guides
