CUCM_TO_CUBE Trunk Down - Status Reason 2

ciscoMFNAO
Level 1
Level 1

Hi all,

We are configuring a new SIP Trunk to our new 2900 router that will be conneting to a our SIP Provider. Topology looks like:  CUCM---SIP TRUNK - CUBE - SIP TRUNK - SIP PROVIDER

Currentely we are stuck trying to get the CUCM trunk up. We follow Cisco Guide and configure the trunk but the trunk is down with the status reason 2. When a call is placed nothing seems to hit the CUBE with debug enabled.

We wonder if there is something else that needs to be configure first in CUBE as the router is new. Please see bellow the configuration made so far to allow the SIP Trunk connection on the CUBE:

PLEASE HELP...if you have any ideias what can cause this status reason 2 or if there is something that may preventy the router to recieve calls from the CUCM TRunk.

The IP that you have configured for the CUBE on CUCM SIP trunk is it 172.29.8.146 ? Add sip bindings to voice service voip/sip configuration as -

bind all source-interface 172.29.8.146

Test after this. If the status is still showing down, enable "debug ccsip messages" and "debug ccsip non-call" and let it run for a couple of minutes. Collect the logs and attach.

Thanks so much for your quick replay.
I tried your sugestion but it is still showing down and nothing is hiting the CUBE. I also can ping from both sides but trunk is still down

Can you paste a snapshot where you see the trunk down ? Do you have Options Ping enabled on the SIP Profile ?

Yes, I have Ping enabled on SIP Profile. Please note the printscreen bellow attached:

Ok. Enable the following on the CUBE -

debug ccsip message
debug ccsip error

Let them run for a couple of minutes and then send me the logs.

No..still not showing anything from debug.

Really strange. CUCM and CUBE are on the same network so I don´t think Firewall is a issue as well.

What do you see in "show logg" ? Add the outputs for -

show tcp brief all
show udp detail

Show logging also doesn´t show activity. Please note the output attached

That's strange. Your router is not listening for UDP and TCP traffic on 5060. Have you added the SIP binds correctly ?
Can you reload the router and also try changing the outgoing transport to UDP on the SIP security profile if you are using the default non-secure one ?

Are you console ? Add an output for "show ip int br | ex un".

Yes I think I configured the bind. Please note the printscreen.

Yes. Reload the router please and then check the outputs for "show tcp br" and "show udp detail" once the router is up. Also try changing the transport protocol to udp on CUCM sip security profile.

Yes, I reloaded the router and the reason changed to 1. Please check the outputs attached

Have you tried resetting the trunk once ?
If you disable options, do calls hit the CUBE ?
